Republicans Criticize Biden For “Ending” COVID-19 Emergency

Republicans criticized President Biden’s announcement that the government will officially end the COVID-19 emergency on May 11, recalling that he said in September 2022 that the pandemic “is over” and completely ignored Senate’s bipartisan vote of 62 in November to end the emergency. The announcement comes as the Republican-controlled House prepares a vote to immediately end the COVID-19 emergency this week. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) tweeted, “This week we are voting to end the COVID emergency. In response, Biden announces HE IS going to end the COVID-19 emergency declarations… how will democrats vote? What about the vax mandates?”
