Biden Administration To Allow More Oil Drilling In Alaska

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

In an apparent reversal of policy, the Biden Administration is expected to allow a limited expansion in drilling for oil in Alaska as part of the ConocoPhillips (CP) oil company’s proposed Willow Project which would tap into approximately 600 million barrels of oil. While domestic gas prices soared, the Biden administration has opposed domestic oil production while at the same time encouraging other countries to increase production of their own oil resources. Dan Kish, a senior fellow at Institute for Energy Research said, “Americans are taking it in the shorts because the Biden administration has basically declared war on American affordable, abundant energy.” On multiple occasions Biden has promised to “end fossil fuels.”
