A suicide bomber on Monday struck at a mosque inside a police compound in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, leaving at least 34 people killed and 150 injured, officials said. Most of the victims were police officers, as the mosque is located in a compound that serves as the city’s police headquarters. After the attack, Sarbakaf Mohmand, a commander for the Pakistani Taliban, claimed on Twitter that they carried out the suicide bombing.
