With workers in France already having staged multiple work strikes since the beginning of the year, mostly in part due the French retirement age being raised from 62 to 64, there are more strikes planned not only in France, but in Italy, Spain and Portugal as well. Rising inflation and the cost of living crisis have provoked workers to demand higher pay and better working conditions. The French strikes will include petroleum workers as well as train, bus and aviation workers. Most participants will be from the transport sector but may be joined by workers from other fields causing more disruptions.
