Polish authorities have detected an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in 5 wild boar according to the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH). The outbreak has been spreading through Eastern Europe affecting countries like Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Moldova, North Macedonia and Romania. Fox News also reported on a recent outbreak in Greece. In total, ASF has been in 41 countries affecting more than 800,00 pigs and over 20,000 wild boar since January 2021.
