On Tuesday a Seminole Gulf Railway train derailed leaving mangled tracks and an overturned tanker carrying 30,000 gallons of propane.  Officials are investigating the incident that happened near Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.  There were no reports of injuries and no evidence of leaks at the site according to fire and rescue officials.  The newspaper reported that Southern Manatee Fire District Chief Robert Bounds said the freight train had been minimally staffed.  This comes in the wake of the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment disaster which has prompted government officials to improve oversight and cleanup efforts as railway safety is a serious concern across the nation.
