M. Evan Corcoran, Trump’s lawyer, appeared in federal court in D.C. on Friday before a grand jury to answer questions about the possible mishandling of classified documents found at Mar-a-lago. Corcoran drafted a letter to the Justice Department last June stating that a “diligent search” was done for classified documents. In addition to the letter, around three dozen documents were returned with classified markings. Another Trump lawyer Timothy Parlatore testified before the grand jury in December for six or seven hours about Trump’s compliance with the department to recover the classified documents.
