State of Washington to Be Sanctuary for Child Sex Changes and Abortions

Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.8

On Monday the state Senate of Washington sent a bill called the “shield law” to Gov. Jay Inslee’s (D) office which he will be expected to sign. The bill will make Washington a sanctuary state for out-of-state residents to have abortions or receive sex-change surgeries without fear of subpoenas or investigations. The bill will also prohibit the governor from extraditing people for out-of-state charges on gender affirming procedures and abortions while simultaneously protecting all healthcare workers performing any services. Once the bill has been signed by the governor, it will be effective immediately.
